Grandson - aged: 8 - born: Ash, Kent. Head of household - Edward Hodges (sic) - Married - aged: 57 - occ: Farm Bailiff - born: Isle of Sheppy, Kent. Also Ann Hodges - Wife - aged: 56 - born: Maidstone, Kent. His parents were residing on their own at 104 Shakespeare Road, Lambeth. His father was employed as a Yard Foreman in Coal Merchants. 1911 Census - 104 Shakespeare Road, Herne Hill, Lambeth. SE London. Son - aged: 18 - occ: Clerk in Corn Merchants - born: Ash, Kent. Head of household - Frederick Austin Sherlock - Married - aged: 43 - occ: Foreman in Corn Merchants - born: Wandsworth, London. Also - Emma Sherlock - Wife - aged: 39 - born: Aylesbury, Kent. Formerly 1337 K.E.H. Rifleman Sherlock died on the second day of the final German offensive in March 1918. Listed as Frederick A. Sherlock on St. Anne's Church Memorial, but that was his father's name. F.A. Sherlock on the Sale Town Memorial. I have not been able to work out Frank's connection to Sale. |
