Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as a Special Trainee in January 1935 and on completion of his course in April 1936 he joined the staff of the Main Production Department. Joined the Royal Naval Reserve of Officers in which he held the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was mobilised in September 1939 and served in H.M. Ships Devonshire, Norfolk and Orion. KinA at Sea in May 1941. |
