Born on the 23rd November 1924, the birth being registered during the March quarter 1925 in the Barton upon Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/901, the daughter of Harold & Ethel Sherratt (nee Curtis). CWD Report No. 60. Died as a result of blast at 71 Hadfield Street, Stretford, from where her body was recovered on the 23rd December 1940 and taken to the City Road Mortuary, Old Trafford. Her body was Identified by her father - Harold Sherratt, 10 King's Road, Stretford and released for burial to the Council's Undertaker Contractor - R. Pepperdine, 31 Ayres Road, Old Trafford. 1939 National Registration - 10 King's Grove, Stretford. Harold Sherratt - Married - born on the 5th April 1901 - occ: Stoker. Ethel Sherratt - Married - born on the 7th December 1899 -occ: Domestic Worker. There is one redacted record at this address. Winifred Sherratt - Single - born on the 23rd November 1924 - occ: Junior Office Assistant. Her grand-mother - Ada Sherratt was also killed in this incident. Buried 31/12/1940 - Burial No. 17,904.
