The Ena de Larrinaga was built in 1925, it's gross register tonnage was 5,200, it was 405 feet long, 53 feet wide and could make 9.5 knots. A cargo ship, it was one of 13 ships operated by the Larrinaga Steamship Co. Ltd, 30 James St, Liverpool. Near to St. Paul's Rocks, travelling from Hull to Buenos Aires, on the 05/04/41 she was torpedoed by U-105 and sank in position - 01.10N 26W. There were 38 survivors, but 5 crew/passengers were lost. |
