His Canadian attestation form, signed on the 4th March 1916, at Toronto,
Ontario, states that he was aged 35 years 3 months, 5 feet 3 inches in
height, had a 34/2½ inch chest (fully expanded).   His complexion was:
dark, his eyes: blue and his hair: dark.    The papers also state that he
was a Painter by trade and that he had previously served in 4th Company,
Home Guard and for 7 years with the 3rd Cheshire Volunteers.   He had a
tattoo on his left arm.

Religion - C of E.   He was married and his wife - Ethel Rustige, 282 King
Edwards Street, St. James, Manitoba, was listed as his next of kin.

Death reported in the 30/11/1917 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.

Left a widow and 2 children.
