the son of John & Louisa Mary Redfern (nee Barker).

Enlisted in the Public Schools Bn in August 1914,  commissioned in the LNLR
in August 1915 and drafted to the front in March 1916.   Engaged in the
Battle of the Somme.

DoW received on the 31st July 1917.

Death reported in the 07/08/1917 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.
