Killed at Manchester Hill situated between St. Quentin & Savy, Somme. Actually murdered at Manchester Hill. At the end of the siege, only 15 men came away unwounded. This small group of men were marched back to the German lines. A German turned his machine gun onto the group and Private Ryder was killed. | |||
