daughter of Henry & Mary Wilson Prescott (nee either Barratt or Earsman). 
Her mother - Mary Prescott was born in Ireland.

Her parents and elder siblings were residing at 34 Dorrington Street, Hulme
in 1861 which is where Mary Ellen was probably born.

Her mother - Mary Wilson Prescott died in 1970, aged: 42.
