Born during the March quarter 1894 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref: 8a/181,
the son of Francis C. & Eleanor O'Neill (nee McNally). 

1901 Census - 106, Landsdowne Road, Didsbury, Manchester.   Son - aged: 7 -
born: Sale.   Head of household - Francis C. O'Neill - Married - aged: 40 -
occ: Mercantile Clerk - born: Manchester.   Also Eleanor O'Neill - Wife -
aged: 35 - born: Manchester.  Plus 3 younger siblings and 1 paternal aunt.

1911 Census - 58 Talbot Street, Moss Side, Manchester.    Son - aged: 17 -
occ: Provisions Merchant's Clerk - born: Sale.     Head of household -
Francis C. O'Neill - Married - aged: 51 - occ: Clerk with Co-op Society -
born: Manchester.   Also Eleanor O'Neill - Wife - aged: 47 - born:
Manchester.  Plus 6 younger siblings.

W.O.363 - Enlisted at Manchester on the 26th February 1916 and embodied
into the Manchester Rgt - 5130.   Residing at 35 Graeme Street, Manchester.
  He was aged: 21 years and 1 month.   He was 5 feet 8 ¾ inches in height
and weighed 132 lb.  His chest measurement was 34 inches fully expanded.   
Posted to France on the 4th August 1916.    Transferred into the L.N.L.R.
on the 9th September 1916.

Following his death, his personal effects comprising:- 1 Identity disc, 1
letter - 1 compass, 1 rosary, 1 knife, 1 pipe, 1 wallet containing 1
photograph and a National Identity Card were dispatched to his parents on
the 14th February 1917.   The records state that he died of his wounds.
