The factory, situated alongside the main railway line through the town, was bombed on the 11th December 1940 and 23 people were killed. This was Cheltenham's worst night of air-raids - some 2000 incendiary bombs and 155 high explosive bombs were dropped, killing 23 people. Died at Sunningend Works.
