Born at Sale on the 20th November 1884, the birth being registered during the March quarter 1885 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref: 8a/178, the son of Wallace & Julia Rosina Martyn (nee Maspero). Baptised at St. Anne's P.C. Sale Moor on the 11th January 1885. Baptised with his sister - Emily Larinia Martyn. Their father was recorded as a Police Sergeant. His mother - Julia Rosina Martyn died in 1886, aged: 36. Wallace then married Annie Wright during the September quarter 1887 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref: 8a/240. 1891 Census - Eccleston Hill, (James Swindley Walk), Eccleston, Cheshire. Son - aged: 6 - born: Sale. Head of household - Wallace Martyn - Married - aged: 44 - occ: Police Sergeant - born: Wincanton, Somerset. Also - Anne Martyn - Wife - aged: 34 - born: Ashton upon Mersey. Plus 2 sisters and 1 half-sister. Admitted to Eccleston Mixed School, Cheshire on the 16th February 1891. Born on the 20th November 1884. Wallace's second wife died in 1894, aged: 38. He then married his third wife during the December quarter 1896 in the Chester R.D. - ref: 8a/685. 1901 Census - Police Station, Park Street, Neston cum Parkgate, Wirral, Cheshire.
