Born during the June quarter 1921 in the Bedford R.D. - ref: 3b/513, the son of Henry Norrison Marr & Etta Marr (nee Townsend). 1921 Census. Not born at that time, but both his parents were visitors at Mowden Hall, Hatfield Peverel, Essex, the home of the Doyne family. The head of which was a retired Major with the 21st Lancers. Atended Lymm Grammar School. 1939 National Registration - No Trace - probably already serving. His parents were residing at Malton Farm, Orwell, South Cambridgeshire. His father listed as a Metallurgist Chemist. |
