Born during the December quarter 1894 in the Newcastle Unpon Tyne R.D. -
ref: 10b/94, the son of George Redmayne Murray M.D. & Annie Katharine
Murray (nee Bickersteth).

Ulric is recorded in the "Plantagenet Roll of the Blood Royal" - Essex
Volume, that states that he was born on the 18th October 1894, the son of
George Redmayne Murray M.D. & Annie Katharine Murray (nee Bickersteth).  
The document states that Dr. Murray was from Fawdon House, Newcastle upon
Tyne.  Ulric had one elder sister - Vera Christabel b.7/6/1893 and two
younger brothers - Victor Bickersteth b.10/12/1897;  Oswald William
b.6/10/1901.

1901 Census - 11 Ellison Place, St Andrew, Newcastle Upon Tyne.    Son -
aged: 6 - born: Newcastle upon Tyne.    Head of household - George R.
Murray - Married - aged: 35 - occ: Physician - born: Newcastle upon Tyne.  
Also - Annie K. Murray - Wife - aged: 36 - born: Liverpool.   Plus an elder
sister and a younger brother - Victor B. Murray - aged: 3.    The family
employed 5 servants.

1911 Census - Eton College, Buckinghamshire.   Boarder - aged: 16 - Scholar
- born: Newcastle.    No trace of his parents in 1911.

Commemorated on a private memorial plaque in St. Mary's P.C. Rostherne.  
M.I. "Their lives for their Country; The souls to God".

Ulric was not strictly speaking a "service war dead", so is not
commemorated by the CWGC, but he IS listed on memorials in two main
churches - Bowdon & Rostherne and the Altrincham & District Roll of
Honour.
