BBorn during the December quarter 1879 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/816, the son of Robert & Efshoby Liddle (nee Smith) (nee Gregory). The birth being registered under the name of Soloman Siddon Liddle*. There are a number of different spelling of his middle name. He was baptised on the 14th January 1880 at St. Gabriel P.C. Plus 5 half siblings - his mother's children with Thomas Smith, whom she married in 1859. After Thomas' death, she married Robert Liddle.
