Took off from RAF Dunholme at 22.33 hrs for a bombing raid on St-leu. Flying with 44 Sqn in a Lancaster Mk.I, they came down at Equennes-Eramecourt, Somme. The seven man crew were buried inthe local churchyard, 5 km SSE of Poix-de-Picardie. From the headstone - his marker stone is the third one down on the left.  | |||
