The 9th August 1918 edition of the Heywood Advertiser - "In Memoriam"
section.  Memorial insert by his widow - Mary Holt states that he was
serving in the Coldstream Guards Pioneers.   "A noble and beautiful life
sacrificed for his country.   Deeply loved and so sadly missed by his
sorrowing wife, Mary (nee Whittaker), 104 Moss Lane, Hale, Cheshire. (late
of Bury Street, Heywood) and all his sorrowing relatives.   One of God's
chosen ones".

M.I. - "Oh heavenly father, watch between us, until we meet again".
