Born during the September quarter 1896 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref: 8a/182, the son of Henry & Rose Annie Heywood (nee Frape). Baptised at St. Anne's P.C. on the 6th September 1896. His father was recorded as being a Market Gardener residing at Temple Road, Sale. His father is listed in the local 1899 Directory as being a Gardener living at 33 Temple Rd. 1901 Census - 33 Temple Road, Sale. Son - aged: 4 - born: Sale. Head of household - Henry Heywood - Married - aged: 42 - occ: Market Gardener - born: Timperley. Also - Rose A. Heywood - Wife - aged: 32 - born: Gloucestershire. Plus 3 siblings. 1911 Census - 29a Temple Road, Sale. Son - aged: 14 - Scholar - born: Sale. Head of household - Henry Heywood - Married - aged: 52 - occ: Market Gardener - born: Timperley. Also - Rose Annie Heywood - Wife - aged: 42 - born: Beverstone, Gloucestershire. Plus 4 siblings. Attended St. Anne's Church School and Sale Higher Elementary School. A Member of St. Anne's Church Choir and the St. Anne's Christian Brotherhood. Enlisted in the Manchester Rgt (Signals Coy) No. 3067 on the 1st October 1914. Death reported in the 05/11/1918 edition of the Altrincham Guardian. Died of Pneumonia. (Influenza). M.I. - "Father in thy gracious keeping, leave we now our loved one sleeping". The local newspaper states that his parents lived at 29a Temple Rd, Sale. Pension Records - Died from Pneumonia.
