Born during the December quarter 1915 in the Prestwich R.D. - ref: 8d/508, the son of Samuel Kinder & Beatrice Alice Heywood (nee Mills). Married Margaret Thomson during the March quarter 1943 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/399. During the afternoon of the 23/06/44, Edward was lost whilst on a spotting sortie in a Spitfire Va No. AB961, near Criquerville, France. He was flying with 26 Sqn, Part of No. 12 Group operating out of Hutton Cranswick, using the code XC. |
