orn Joan Cooper durinng the September quarter 1917 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/239, the daughter of John A. & Mary Lavinia Cooper. 1939 National Registration - "Starberg", 4 Boxgrove Road, Ashton upon Mersey. John H. Cooper - Married - born: 16th July 1884 - occ: Departmental Manager Heavy Chemicals & Police War Constable No. 749/2718. Mary L. Cooper - Married - born: 2nd March 1886 - occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties. There is another person whose details have been blanked out under the 100 year rule. There is no trace of Joan anywhere else, so it is assumed that it is her. Joan's husband to be - Frank Hanlon was then residing with his parents at 4 Livingstone Street, Manchester, the address where they would both be killed. Married Frank Alexander Hanlon during the December quarter 1940 in the Blackburn R.D. - ref: 8e/1745. Husband - Frank killed in same incident. He is buried in the Lymm (Higher Lane) Baptist Chapel Yard - date of death 22/12/1940. Her parents resided at 4 Boxgrove Road, Ashton upon Mersey. CWGC - Daughter of John A. and Mary Lavinia Cooper, of 4 Boxgrove Road, Sale, Cheshire; wife of Frank Alexander Hanlon, R.A.F. (killed in same incident). Died at 4 Livingstone Street.
