Born during the March quarter in the Salford R.D. - ref: 8d/270, the son of James Francis & Annie Garton (nee Ralph). 1939 National Registration - No Trace. Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company in April 1937 and employed as an Assistant Storekeeper and Tester in the Meter Sales Department. Joined the RAC in February 1940 and later posted to the 17th/21st Lancers in North Africa. KinA in North Africa in April 1940. |
