Born on the 25th August 1928, the birth being registered during the December quarter 1828 in the Manchester North R.D. - ref: 8d/764, the son of Sam & Clara Henrietta Gibson (nee Flatman). Sam & Clara produced eight children between 1911 and 1928 - Frank being the youngest. 1939 National Registration - 113 Northumberland Road, Stretford. Sam Gibson - Married - born on the 26th May 1885 - occ: Gas Meter Tester. Clara H. Gibson - Married - born on the 19th October 1885 - occ: Housewife. Alfred Gibson - Single - born on the 25th April 1917 - occ: Store Keeper at Rubber Works. There is one redacted record at this address. Elsie N. Gibson - Single - born on the 2nd August 1924 - occ: Househelp. Frank R. Gibson - born on the 25th August 1928 - Scholar. CWD Report No.107. Died as a result of blast and splinters, at 11 Coniston Road, Stretford, from where his body was recovered at 13.15 hrs on the 24th December 1940 and taken to the Church Street Mortuary, Stretford. He was identified by his father and his body was released for burial to Sam Gibson, 11 Coniston Road, Stretford. Death registered in Stretford Borough.
