Born during the March quarter 1912 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/1697, the son of Edwin & Margaret Frost (nee Hurd). In 1911 his family comprising his parents and six children was residing at 42 Stanley Street, off Hargreaves Street, Hulme, Manchester. Probably where James was born the following year. Married Vera Tomkinson during the June quarter 1934 in the South Manchester R.D. - ref: 8d/123. They had one son - Jeffrey Frost.
