Born on the 3ed November 1923, the birth being registered during the March 
qtr 1923 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/299, the son of Edward & Doris
Dennett (nee Potts).

1939 National Registration - 202 Rushgreen Road, Lymm, Cheshire.    Son -
born on the 3rd November 1923 - Single - occ: Borer (Apprentice Engineer). 
 Head of household - Edward Dennett - born on the 31st January 1897 -
Married - occ: Planer (Engineer).  Also - Doris Dennett - born on the 1st
September 1900 - occ: Inpaid Domestic Duties.

N.B. - Nephew of Private A. Potts killed in Syria 23/06/1941.  Have
included A.Potts on this database, but do not know where he lived.   The CD
states that he was born in Cheshire and lived At Warrington.

They took off at 00.14 hours from RAF North Killingholme, Yorkshire in a
Lancaster Mk I - No. ME556 BQ-F, to attack rail communications at Acheres. 
They crashed at Eragny (Val d'Oise), some 3 kilometres south of Pontoise.  
Six of the crew are buried at Eragny Communual Cemetery - Sgt. E.R. Hall is
commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial.

Shervington, aged: 20;  Flight Engineer - Sgt Albert Small, aged: 35; 
Navigator Robert John Mawhinney RCAF, aged: 27;  Air Bomber - Kenneth
Raymond Ansell, aged: 22;  Sgt Ernest Rowland Hall, aged: Air Gunner Alan
Curnow Griffiths, aged: 19 and Sgt Dennett above.

Commemorated on the 145 Sqn Memorial - Altrincham Grammar School.
