His death was reported in the 14/02/1919 edition of the Altrincham
Guardian, which stated that his parents lived at Dunns Lane, Baguley.

He was struck on the head with an explosive shell (shrapnel) on the
04/11/1918 and knocked unconscious - he never came round - and died in
hospital abroad on the 09/11/1918.

Commemorated on the private family gravestone in Christchurch Churchyard.  
Also commeorated on the Altrincham & District Roll of Honour.

His father, Peter died 12/01/1940 aged 72 years and his mother, Mary died
27/01/1931 aged 67 years.
