The family moved from Sale to Ashton upon Mersey c1976.

Previously employed at "The Lodge", Ashton Lane on the Gardening staff of
Mr. H.V. Kilvert.   Then employed as Head Gardener to Mr. Escott.

Death reported in the 26/10/1917 edition of the AAltirncham Guardian.

MIC - BWM & Victory only - no other info.

SDGW states that he died on the 12/10/18 and that his number was 27259.

Quite probable that he is the E. Carter on the Northenden Cenotaph, as post
War, his widow is recorded as residing on Spath Road, Northenden.
