Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as a School Apprentice in October 1933 and on completion of his apprenticeship in November 1937 he joined the staff of the Plant Sales Department. Joined the RAFVR, in which he held the rank of Sergeant Pilot, mobilised in 1939 and later commissioned as a Pilot Officer. KinA whilst on air operations in October 1940. |
