Born during the March quarter 1913 in the Burnley R.D. - ref; 8e/440, the youngest son of Henry Walmsley & Ida Clarke (nee Roberts). Attended Springfield School and Sale Central School. Played rugby for both Ashton on Mersey & Didsbury RUFCs. Employed for 10 years as Chief Librarian at the Daily Mail Newspaper in Manchester. Married Marjorie Martin during the June quarter 1941 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/716. 1939 National Registration - 69 Marsland Road, Sale. Thomas R. Clarke - born on the 5th January 1913 - Single - occ: Newspaper Photo Librarian. Ida Clarke - born on the 15th October 1875 - Widowed - occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties. Margaret E.
