Born Sidney Iver Bailey during the March quarter 1886 in the Ringwood R.D. - ref: 2b/713, the son of Job & Sophia Bailey. 1891 Census - "Pimpern Cottage", 3 Spring Road, Christchurch, Hampshire. Son - aged: 5 - Scholar - born: Ringwood, Hampshire. Head of household - Not at home. Also - Sophia Bailey - Wife - aged: 45 - born: Dorset. Plus 3 elder siblings born in Dorset, 1 younger brother and 1 boarder. His father - Job Bailey was residing at Verwood Road, Ringwood, Hampshire - Head of household - Married - aged: 51 - occ: Agricultural Labourer - born: Dorset. 1901 Census - "Pottern Cottage" (part of Pottern Farm), Potherne, Verwood, Wimbourne, Dorset. Brother - aged: 15 - occ: Cowman on Farm - born: Ringwood, Hampshire. Residing with his 33 year old brother - Walter c. Bailey and his wife and family. His parents and 2 siblings were residing at Mannington Three Cross, Holt, Wimborne, Dorset. His father was a 61 year old Agricultural Labourer and his mother aged: 55.
