Born during the September quarter 1895 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref: 8a/205, the son of Edmund (Edward) & Alice Bleasdale (nee Hardy). 1901 Census - Hall Cottages, Carrington, Cheshire. Son - aged: 5 - born: Carrington. Head of household - Edward Bleasdale - Married - aged: 37 - occ: Labourer on Farm - born: Lancashire. Also - Alice Bleasdale - Wife - aged: 37 - born: Carrington. Plus 4 siblings. 1911 Census - Carrington. Son - aged: 16 - occ: Grocer's Shop Assistant - born: Carrington. Head of household - Edward Bleasdale - Married - aged: 47 - occ: Haycutter (own account) - born: Lancashire. Also - Alice Bleasdale - Wife - aged: 47 - born: Carrington. Plus 3 siblings. Killed during the Extraction from Gallipoli stage of that Campaign - 10th December 1915 to 9th January 1916. His father - Edmund Bleasedale, died 10th March 1940, aged 76 years and his Mother - Alice Bleasedale, died 16th January 1913, aged 48 years. His father was born - Edmund Bleasdale, he married as Edward Bleasdale, is listed in the Census returns as Edward Bleasdale and his death registered as Edmund Bleasdale.
