Born during the December quarter 1924 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/224, the son of James William & Gladys Bailey (nee Matthias). The records state MATTHAIS, but this is wrong - it should be MATTHIAS. He attended Egerton School. 1939 National Registration - 4 Bucklow Avenue, Mobberley. James W. Bailey (Snr) - Married - born on the 12th June 1893 - occ: Railway Porter. Gladys Bailey - Married - born on the 6th June 1899 - occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties. James W. Bailey (Jnr) - Single - born on the 24th November 1924 - occ: Boy Messenger at Photographic Paper Factory. Plus 2 siblings - John A. Bailey and Beryl Bailey. There was one redacted record at this address - presumably Beryl's twin sister - Brenda Bailey?. Employed at the Rajar Photographic Works, Mobberley. Died in the Delhi Military Hospital, India.
