Born during the March quarter 1912 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/1751, the elder son of William Oliver & Laura Brelsford (nee Lord). In 1911 his parents were residing at 111 Braeman Road, Lady Vain, Manchester. His father was employed as a Calico Printer's Clerk. The 47th (The Durham Light Infantry) AA Battalion, was a Searchlight unit converted from 7th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry M.I. "Ever in our thoughts". His father William Olliver died 01/01/1967 aged 84 years and his mother Laura died 23/01/1973 aged 87 years. |
