Born on the 14th February 1868 at Sedgley, Staffordshire. 1891 - No Trace. 1901 Census - 12 Whiteacre Road, Ashton under Lyne. Wife - Married - aged: 33 - born: Sedgley, South Staffordshire. Head of household - James Henry Bromiley - Married - aged: 33 - occ: Bricklayer - born: Sedgley, Staffordshire. Plus 5 children, aged from 3 to 12. 1911 Census - 12 Whiteacre Road, Ashton under Lyne. Wife - Married - aged: 43 - born: Sedgley, South Staffordshire. Head of household - James Henry Bromiley - Married - aged: 43 - occ: Bricklayer - born: Coseley, Staffordshire. Plus 5 children, aged from 13 to 22. 1939 National Registration - 79 Moss Road, Stretford. ( Listed as BRAMLEY) James H. Bramley - Married - born: 30th April 1867 - occ: Bricklayer (Retired). Margaret Bramley - Married - born: 14th February 1868 - occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties. CWD Report No.106. Died as a result of blast and splinters at 79 Moss Road, Stretford, where her body was recovered at 13.15 hrs on the 24th December 1940 and taken to the Church Street, Mortuary, Stretford where it was identified by her son - J.V. Henry (James Pernals Bromiley ???). Her body was released to R. Pepperdine (Undertakers), 31 Ayres Road, Old Trafford who were contracted by the Stretford Corporation to bury civilian war dead. Buried 27/12/1940 - Burial No. 17,859. *Spelt Bromley on the CWD and in the Stretford WW2 Memorial Book. Her husband had died during the June quarter of 1940. Land Mine - see MEN 13/09/2008. |
