at Styal.   Local newspaper reported that he was "mobilised" on the 4th
August 1914 and drafted to the front in January 1915.

His mother married Ernest H. Naylor during the September quarter 1914.

Killed in Action on Good Friday.   Death reported in the 17/04/1917 edition
of the Altrincham Guardian.

Commemorated on the Christ Church, Timperley Memorial.

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1918, which states
that he lived at Sale.
