son of Rev. Allen & Martha Louise Booth (nee Earlam).

1901 Census - 49 Oxford Street, Nether Hallam, Sheffield.   Son - aged: 10

He married Ellen Claire during the Decmber quarter 1915 in the Bucklow R.D.
- ref: 8a/492.

Enlisted in 1914.    Served with the 'C' Company, No.1 Section., No 10
Platoon, 10th Bn. Cheshire Rgt.    His MIC only records that he was awarded
the BWM and the VM.  No reference to when he was posted overseas, but it
must have been after 1915, not to get the 15 Star.   No WO363 record.

Missing since 26/04/1918 and the local newspaper appeals for news of him
and states that he lived at The Limes, Moss Lane, Timperley.

That date would indicate that he was killed during the German Spring
Offensive that commenced on the 21st March 1918.

Death reported in the 07/02/1919 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.   His
widow was a Nurse at the David Lewis Northern Hospital, Great Howard
Street, Liverpool.
