1915 and for altering his bus pass.   Drafted to France on the 26th
September 1915.    Returned to England on the 24th July 1916.   Posted to
the 3rd Battallion on the 24th November 1916.    Posted to 1st Battalion on
the 8th February 1917, the day he returned to France.

SDGW gives his name as Norman Nathan Brookes.  St. Anne's Memorial states
Norman L. Brookes.
