8a/170, the son of George & Elizaeth Ann Eaton (nee Derbyshire).

Waste Manufacturer - born: Altrincham.    Head of household - George Eaton
- Married - aged: 41 - occ: Day Gardener - born: Lymm.   Also - Elizabeth
Ann Eaton - Wife - aged: 42 - born: Altrincham.   Plus 5 siblings and a
niece.   His brothers were - Charles William 18;  Merlin 16;   Albert
Howcroft 12 and Arthur 6.

The family resided at "Leasowes", Grove Lane, Hale.

MIC - There are two Joseph Eaton's - 3rd Bn Cheshire Rgt.   One states that
he was discharged from the Army on the 2nd April 1916 following sickness
recorded from the 12th December 1915.  No. 32948.   The other states that
he was discharged from the Army on the 17th January 1917, following
sickness recorded from the 10th December 1915.  No. 59231.   It is likely
that they are the same person with two differing MIC records???

No WO363 record.

He died during the December quarter 1918 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/407
- aged: 22.  He is commemorated on the private family gravestone in
Christchurch Churchyard, Timperley, where he is listed as 'Joe' and date of
death given as the 24th November 1918.

His elder brother - Charles William Eaton was killed on the 1st Day of the
Battle of the Somme 1916.
