The Orama was built in 1924, it's gross register tonnage was 19,840, it was
658 feet long, 75 feet wide and could make 18 knots.   It was one of 8
ships operated by the Orient Steam Navigation Co. Ltd, 3-5 Fenchurch Ave,
London EC3.   Used as a troop ship from 1940.

Travelling from Scapa Flow to Narvik, on the 08/06/40 she was shelled and
torpedoed by the Admiral Hipper, the Hans Lody and the destroyer Karl
Galster and sank in position - 67.44N 03.52E.   There were 280 survivors,
(including some PoWs), but 19 crew/PoWs were lost.
