Born during the March quarter 1887 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref: 8a/185,
the eldest son of Edwin & Alice Matilda Guest (nee Sams).

1891 Census - Rush Green, Lymm.  Son - aged: 4 - born: Lymm.   Head of
household - Edwin Guest - Married - aged: 28 - occ: Ship Canal Warehouseman
- born: Lymm.   Also - Alice Guest - Wife - aged: 28 - born: New Charlton,
Kent.   Plus one younger brother.

His mother Alice Matilda Guest, died in 1893 - aged: 31.  His father
married Elizabeth Ann Cunliffe in 1895 and the growing family moved from
Lymm to Broadheath in 1899 or 1900.

Clothier's Apprentice - born: Lymm.   Head of household - Edwin Guest -
Married - aged: 38 - occ: Ship Canal Warehouseman - born: Lymm.   Also -

Plus one younger brother and 4 half siblings.

1911 Census - 7 Bold Street, Altrincham     Charles is a guest at the house
of Albert & Ada Leemans (with whom he worked) - aged: 24 - occ: Grocer's
Assistant - born: Lymm.   His father and step-mother and his half-siblings
are now residing at 63 Sinderland Road, Dunham Massey.   His father is now
aged: 48 and employed by the Prudential Assurance Co as an Assurance Agent.
  He and Elizabeth now have 9 children and 1 boarder living with them.

Employed as the manager of the Rusholme branch of the Manchester & Salford
Equitable Co-operative Society.    A keen cyclist and footballer.

Enlisted in May 1916.   Killed on the second day of the last German
offensive of 1918 when the German Armies launched a major attack along most
of the line of the Western Front.

Death reported in the 19/04/1918 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.
