Born at Stretford on the 22nd June 1907, the birth being registered during
the September quarter 1907 in the Barton upon Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/665,
the son of James Edwin & Beatrice Richardson (nee Higham).

1911 Census - 5 Manners Terrace, Old Hall Road, Sale.   Son - aged: 3 -
born: Stretford.   Head of household - James Edwin Richardson - Married -
aged: 38 - occ: Foreman at Pickle Factory - born: Ashton upon Mersey.  
Also Beatrice Richardson - Wife - aged: 34 - born: Manchester.    Plus 2
elder brothers.

Married Lily Turner at St. Paul's P.C. on the 18th July 1931, the marriage
being registered during the September quarter 1931 in the Bucklow R.D. -
ref: 8a/515.   Lily was a ladies hairdresser and resided on School Road,
Sale with her parents, later moving to 42 Whitefield Road, AoM.

Oswald Turner - Married - born on the 15th July 1883 - occ: Electrical
Meter Inspector and Police War Constable.   Martha F. Turner - Married -
born on the 1st November 1881 - occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties.   James K.
Richardson - Married - born on the 22nd June 1907 - occ: Boilerman at
Newspaper Printing Ink Company.   Lily Richardson - Married - born on the
8th August 1909 - occ: Ladies Hairdresser.

James enlisted and was drafted tpo the Army Catering Corps, eventually
being attached to a Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment.   James and Lily's son -
Keith Richardson was born at the end of 1942.   It is not known if James
managed to see his son before he was posted overseas.

Fought in the final stages of the North African Campaign before taking part
in the invasion of Italy.  Buried in a battlefield grave, his remains were
re-interred into the Arezzo War Cementery.    M.I. - "He gave his life that
we might live in peace.  Loving Wife and son".
