Born during the September quarter 1919  in the Guiseborough R.D. - ref:
9d/800, the son of Arthur John & Louisa Butler (nee Langburne).

Married Gene Cole Stratton during the June quarter 1941 in the Bucklow R.D.
- ref: 8a/715.

A keen swimmer.    Employed in the Advertising Dept. of Kendal Milne,
Manchester.

He was in the Territorials and one of the Dessert Rats, fighting in North
Africa, Sicily and Italy with the 7th Armoured Division, before moving on
into France and Belgium.

Death reported in the 10/11/1944 edition of the Sale & Stretford Guardian.

still". 

Probate - Brian Langburne Butler of 3 Somerton Avenue, Sale, died 9th
September 1944 on war service.  Probate granted at Manchester on the 14th
July 1945 to Gene Cole Butler (Widow).   Estate valued at £503. 17s. 11d.
