General Information
In 1968, the Sale Presbyterian Church on Northenden Road closed
and was demolished. The remaining congregation amalgamated with
the Sale Congregational Church to become the Sale United Reformed Church, where this memorial ended up in a store room. In 2020 St.
Paul's P.C. accepted responsibility for it and had it renovated.
It is now proudly displayed in that Church.

The embroidered memorial copy was undertaken by Lesley Tarnowski
one of the Royle family descendants. It is now the only war memorial on display in the Sale URC Church.
