Born on the 6th March 1894, the birth being registered during the June
quarter 1894 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref: 8a/169, the son of Henry Morris
& Ada Bardsley (nee Gilbert).

1901 Census - Vale Road, Bowdon.   Son - aged: 7 - born: Hale.   Head of
household - Henry M. Bardsley - Married - aged: 42 - occ: Flower and Farina
Merchant - born: Barton upon Irwell.   Also - Emma Bardsley  - Wife - aged:
27 - born: Wistaton, Cheshire.  Plus 4 siblings and 2 domestic servants.

1911 Census - Presumably now residing in Canada.   His parents were
residing at "Tremont", 24 Arran Avenue, Sale.   Henry Morris Bardsley -
Married - aged: 53 - occ: Flour Salesman - born: Barton upon Irwell.  Also
- Emma Bardsley - Wife - aged: 38 - born: Wistaton, Cheshire.    Plus 2
younger sisters.

His Canadian attestation form, signed on the 18th December 1914, at Prince
Albert, Saskatchewan, states that he was 20 years of age, 6 feet 1 inch in
height, had a 38/3 inch chest (fully expanded).   His complexion was:
light, his eyes: blue and his hair: light brown.    The papers also state
that he was a Farmer by trade and that, although he had never previously
served in any military force, he had served in the 52nd Rgt P.A.V.
Militia.

Religion - C of E.    His father - Henry Morris Bardsley was listed as his
next of kin.

He was unmarried and his father is shown as living at 24 Arran Avenue from
September 1907 to sometime in 1917.

Commemorated on the private family gravestone in Christchurch Churchyard.

His father, H.M. Bardsley died 17/07/1917 aged 59 years and his mother, Ada
died 11/03/1899 aged 38 years.

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1917.
