SDGW lists his number as 25045.

Enlisted in the Manchester Rgt in 1914 - had previously served with the
Manchester Territorials and had received his long service award in the
Volunteers.

His wife - Elizabeth Eliza Lingard died on the 5th February 1916, aged:
37.

Death reported in the 15/06/1917 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.   A
widower, he left an 11 year old son.

Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1918.

Pension Records - Guardian - Mrs. Ethel Eliza Weatherill, 123 Northenden
Road, Sale.   Awarded a weekly pension of 7/- w.e.f. the 3rd December 1917.
  A note states that his wife died on the 5th February 1916.   There was
one son - Rodney Lingard born on the 28th September 1905.
