Mechanic in England, he emigrated to Australia aged 21 years (1910) and had
spent 5 years working on a sheep farm at Forbes, New South Wales, C/o Mrs
Ann Perry, Clarence NSW.   He had previously served in the 7th Bn.
Lancashire Fusiliers.

Believed to have been killed at Gaba Tepe.
