Born during the June quarter 1892 in the Altrincham R.D. - ref: 8a/182, the
son of Peter & Emma Tyrer Capper (nee Gratrix).

1901 Census - 3 Winson Street, Sale.    Son - aged: 6 - born: Sale.    Head
of household - Peter Capper - Married - aged: 49 - occ: Cab Driver - born:
Sale.  Also - Emma Capper - Wife - aged: 45 - born: Sale.   Plus 6
siblings, all born at Sale.

1911 Census - 7 Albion Street, Sale.    Son - aged: 17 - occ: Bricklayer's
Labourer - born: Sale.   Head of household - Peter Capper - Married - aged:
60 - occ: Cab Driver - born: Sale.  Also - Emma Capper - Wife - aged: 60 -
born: Sale.   Plus 5 siblings, all born at Sale.

His mother - Emma Capper died in 1913 - aged: 57

WO363 - Enlisted at Altrincham on the 2nd September 1914, aged: 20 years
177 days, occupation given as Improver Silver Plater, apprenticed to Mr.
Kennedy, Westinghouse, Trafford Park.   Height: 5 feet 10½ inches -
Weight: 135 lb - Expanded chest: 35 inches with a 4 inch expansion - Eyes:
Grey - Hair: Brown - Church of England.    He qualified as a Bomber and
embarked at Folkestone on the 26th September 1915.
Whilst stationed at Bournemouth, he was disciplined for being absent from
Church Parade on the 30th November 1914 - given 2 days C.B. (Confined to
Barracks).     Absent from 07.00 hrs Parade on the 5th December 1914 - 1
Stone Drill ???    Absent from 07.15 hrs Parade on the 21st January 1915 -
loss of 1 days pay.    For talking when parading with guard on the 25th
April 1915 - Admonished.
Whilst stationed at Aldershot, for overstaying his leave from 22.00 hrs on
the 11th to 08.30 hrs on the 13th September 1915 - Loss of 4 days pay and
10 days C.B.   For not complying with an order and for being absent from an
armoury class - given 15 days C.B.     

By August 1919, the family, comprising his father, his 6 brothers and 2
sisters was residing at 7 Field Road, Ashton upon Mersey.

MIC - Drafted to France on the 27th September 1915.   BWM - 15 Star &
Victory.
