Born at Sale in 1902, the son of Alfred & Mary Jane Allmark (nee
Timperley).

In 1901 his parents were residing at Crossford Bridge, Stretford, between
the Bridge Inn and the Sewage Farm.

1911 Census - 89 Hart Street, Southport, Lancashire.   Son - aged: 9 -
born: Sale.   Head of household - Alfred Allmark - Married - aged: 32 -
occ: Railway Estate Clerk - born: Manchester.   Also - Mary Jane Allmark -
Wife - aged: 31 - born: Manchester.   Plus 1 younger brother.

Drowned as a result of an Attack by Enemy Submarine 'U49', 150 miles from
the Fastnet Rock (Co. Cork, Ireland) in position - 51.50N 14.00W. on voyage
from Boston Mass. to Liverpool with general cargo - 52 crew/passengers were
lost.  The Sagamore sank within 30 minutes, only three lifeboats being
launched.  During a gale that night the lifeboats were all separated, two
never to be seen again.

S.S. "Sagamore" - built 1892 - 5,197 gross tons.
