the son of Fred & Sarah Ellen Wolstencroft (nee Steeple).

1921 Census - 27, Tewkesbury Drive, Prestwich, Lancashire.   Son - aged: 6

aged: 32 - born: Oldham.    Plus 2 siblings and 1 boarder.

Attended the Warehousemans & Clerks School, Cheadle Hulme.   Employed by
the Vulcan Boiler & Generator Insurance Co.   Member of Timperley Cricket
Club.

Death registered during the June quarter 1944 in the Folkestone R.D. - ref:
2a/1605.

Buried 10/05/1944.  Burial records state that he died at home at 40 Beeston
Ave, but the newspaper report states that he died following injuries
sustained in a motor cycle accident.  The latter is correct as he died at
Folkestone, Kent, where he would have been serving on a Light Anti-Aircraft
Gun.

Death reported in the 12/05/1944 edition of the Sale & Altrincham
Guardian.

Commemorated on the private family gravestone in Christchurch Churchyard,
Timperley.

His father, Fred died in September 1920 and is buried in Cheetham Hill
Cemetery.  His mother, Sarah Ellen died 27/07/1955 aged 65 years.
