the son of William & Emma Leak (nee Diggle).

Married Beatrice Warburton during the December quarter 1934 in the Bucklow
R.D. - ref: 8a/326.

1939 National Registration - 13 Houldsworth Avenue, Altrincham.     Head of
household - Robert Frederick Leak - Born on the 10th September 1901 -
Married - occ: Labourer at Felt Works.    Beatrice Leak - Born on the 10th
February 1912 - Married - occ: Part time shop cleaner.   There is 1
redacted record at this address; this will be their eldest daughter - born
in 1935.  They went on to have two more after her - a son in 1941 and a
second daughter in 1943..

Employed by D. Anderson & Son, Switchgear & Cowan, Old Trafford.

Called up in October 1941.

Killed in an explosion in a forward area.

Left a widow and three children - Pamela, Adrian & Heather.   In the
03/08/1945 edition of the local newspaper it states that they were now
living at Horns Cross, Kent.   Beatrice married Edward B. Hill in 1945 at
Dartford, Kent.

CWGC - Son of William and Emma Leak; husband of Beatrice Leak, of
Altrincham, Cheshire.  M.I. - "At the going down of the sun and in the
morning, we will remember them".   Recorded by the CWGC as aged: 46, but
according to his birth record, he was aged only 42.

Death reported in the 25/08/1944 edition of the Sale & Stretford Guardian.

His widow married an Edward B. Hill at Dartford, Kent in the autumn of
1945.
