Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as a Painter in Novemebr 1937 and employed in the Maintenance Department. Joined the Territorial Army and mobilised with the Lacashire Fusiliers in September 1939. Transferred to the M.N. in 1941. Presumed drowned in April 1943 when the ship in which he was serving was sunk by enemy action. |
