From "A Debt of Honour" by Stephen Lewis - "P/O Heywood was employed at the
Waterside Mill, New Mills before moving to work in the aircraft industry in
Stockport.   His main hobby was swimming.  Lost his life in an air battle
over the sea".

Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as a Driller in June 1940 and employed in
the Aircraft Department.  Joined the RAF in May 1941 and later commissioned
as a Pilot Officer.   Presumed KinA whilst on air operations in January
1943.
